Talents is the Pillar Science matchmaking platform that allows industry liaisons and recruiters to connect with SRC Research Scholars for internships and hiring activities.
At the heart of Talents is a sophisticated recommendation engine powered by a unique algorithm. This engine leverages both usage data from within the platform and the intricate connections within that data to deliver highly tailored results to each user.
Talents in Pillar Science offers SRC member companies several benefits:
- Flexible filters to find just the students you are looking for.
- The ability to create curated lists and share them with colleagues.
- Quick access to relevant details about students.
By utilizing the established relationships between students and the company, Talents significantly enhances its value, providing personalized recommendations that are more relevant and impactful. This innovative approach ensures that users receive the most pertinent suggestions, fostering a more engaging and productive interaction with our platform.
Talents can be accessed by clicking the Talents link at the top of the Pillar Science app.
Talents Lists
Once you apply the desired filters, you may want to save a list of students to share with a colleague.
Save To List
Click the check box to the left of each student card to include a student in a saved list, or use the Select All on Page button to select all students on a page. Remember, you can change the number of students displayed per page.
Click Save to List and either save the students to an existing list or create a new list. Students will not be added more than once to a list.
Saved Lists
View your saved lists by choosing Saved Talent Lists. On this page, you can complete the following actions:
- Open: View and edit existing lists
- Share a list: Note that the recipient needs a valid Pillar Science account to access the list.
- Download: Receive a link to the Zip file that includes a spreadsheet and accompanying resumes
- Rename a list
- Delete a list
Talents Filters
Profile Added Since
This filter allows you to restrict your search to recently created profiles.
Graduation Period
Find students by the projected graduation date of their most recent degree.
You may notice that you can search by students who have already graduated. This is because SRC Research Scholars are allowed to remain part of our community for up to two years beyond the end of their project,
Degree Type
Find students by their most recent degree type, such as Master's.
Degree Field
Find students by their most recent degree field, such as Material's Science.
College or University
Find students by their most recent university, such as Purdue University.
Program
Options include Research Programs, Centers, Themes, Thrusts, Decadal Plan Seismic Shifts, and MAPT Roadmap Chapters.
Citizenship
Citizenship information is provided on a voluntary basis and can be used by recruiters to match job locations or work authorization requirements.
US Visa
Provided if a student is in the United States on a visa.
US Export Control Status
Allows recruiters to distinguish students from a D1 or E1 export control country as categorized by the US government. This list includes the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Burma, Cambodia, China (PRC), Cuba, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Libya, Macau, Moldova, Mongolia, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
