SRC provides a KPI card for every year of each project. Principal investigators (PI) should use the KPI card to capture the impact and demonstrate the value of the research to the sponsors. Learn more about the KPI form and process with this helpful video.
Below are the following instructions for accessing, updating, and submitting the KPI cards.
How to Access the KPI card from Pillar Science
You will find your KPI card in the KPI folder in Project Data.
The URL will look like this:
Home/Projects/<Project Title>/Data/KPI/KPI_20XX_<Program>_<PI Last_Name>.xlsx
How to Update the KPI card
You will be able to edit the KPI form directly within Pillar Science. Simple double-click the file or choose Open to launch the editor.
Complete the form in the most concise and meaningful way possible. Highlight the problem being addressed, the novelty of the solution, and its impact against state-of-the-art. The fields are limited to 450 characters (approx. 84 words).
How to Submit a Completed KPI card
Once completed, the PI should request that project liaisons ratify the card. The expectation is that project liaisons, benefiting from the results, are the most qualified to review and approve.
To share the file, click the ... menu button and choose to share the dataset with the appropriate user.
After the ratification process is completed, PI can close the associated task after adding the names of the liaisons in the description field (as shown below).
